The Alpha Alpha Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. is pleased to announce that they are providing scholarships ranging from $400 to $1,000 to students currently enrolled in high schools in the counties of Jefferson, Hardin, Orange, or Jasper, TX. These scholarships will be awarded to deserving graduating male students who exemplify the highest level of scholarship, community service, and leadership as they pursue higher education or military service.

Eligible applicants include:

• Graduating high school students who plan to enroll in a college or university (proof of enrollment required).

• Graduating high school students who plan to enlist in the Armed Forces (proof of enlistment required).

• Current college students continuing their education (verification of Fall 2025 enrollment required).

Application requirements are given below.

To be eligible to receive the 2024-2025 Alpha Alpha Sigma Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

 

Must be presently enrolled as a high school senior at a high school located in the counties of Jefferson, Hardin, Orange, or Jasper, TX (High School Students Only)

(Incoming College Students; Incoming US Military/Veteran)

Born Male
Must be a graduating, High School senior in Spring, 2025.
Must have a minimum 2.75 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale
Must have a record of community service or student leadership.
Must be planning to attend an accredited college/university and be enrolled in 12 or more
credit hours in the fall of 2025, or plan to serve in the United States Armed Forces (Verification
of Enrollment/Enlistment must be provided).

 

(Continuing College Students)

Born Male
Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale
Must have a record of community service or student leadership.
Must be enrolled in 12 or more credit hours at an accredited college/university in the fall of
2025 (Verification of Enrollment must be provided).
